Canoeing and Paddling the Yukon and Teslin Rivers
Ideas about gear that you may want to consider

Fire irons - things can get hot!
We have never seen a grate that did not start to sag when high heat and heavy pots are combined. Two pieces of angle iron and some rocks takes care of the problem. Irons take up less room in the canoe. It is a good idea to make a cotton ( so it does not melt if you jump the gun) bag for them so you can keep the black contained.

Musical instruments - because they are magical
Some of our most memorable times have been when someone has pulled out an instrument. If you can play, think about toting that guitar, harmonica, flute, or set of bagpipes along.

Books - because what is life without poetry?

Out houses - anything is better than none
Outhouses fit under the catagory of "found gear". You may well be amazed at the variety and ingenuity of the outhouses you find along the Teslin/Yukon. By the end of your trip you will probably have a new appreciation for this art form.
Bring books about the Yukon and by Yukon authors. Robert Service is indispensable. Do not be afraid to read aloud to your group. If you can't sing or play a musical instrumen, you can read. It is just as good.
